Wirble/旋風のご依頼者から注文で、京都東本願寺境内のヒマラヤスギの倒木を使用した作品。タイトルは「CERES-デヴァダール（devadāru）」としました。 ヒマラヤスギ（英名Deodar）の語源であるサンスクリット語で、「deva＝神」「dāru＝木」を意味します。 まさに「神の木」として、この素材が歩んできた歴史に敬意を表して名付けました。
Commissioned by the same client who requested Wirble, this work was created using the fallen wood of a Himalayan cedar from the grounds of Higashi Hongan-ji Temple in Kyoto.I titled the piece CERES-devadāru. The name derives from the Sanskrit etymology of the Deodar cedar, where “deva” means “god” and “dāru” means “wood” or “tree.” I chose this title to pay homage to the profound history this material has lived, truly embodying the essence of a “divine tree.”
