ウォールナット材による幾何学的な二つの枠（Grid）が交差し、その内部に相反する二つの有機体（Animism）が中空に浮遊する、まさに「小さな宇宙（Kleiner Cosmos）」を空間に現出させた彫刻作品です。左側の枠には、炭化処理による深い漆黒と、えぐり取られた空洞に岩絵具の鮮烈な赤を宿した重厚な塊が配置されています。対照的に右側の枠には、胡粉の静謐な白を纏い、空気をはらみながら複雑に絡み合う骨格のようなフォルムが内包されています。計算されたグリッド構造の中で、光と闇、凝縮と拡散といった宇宙の根源的な対比が一つの身体として響き合い、静的でありながらも無限の広がりを感じさせる空間の緊張感を生み出しています。

Visualizing a “Kleiner Cosmos” (Small Cosmos), this sculpture features two intersecting geometric walnut frames (Grid) suspending two contrasting organic forms (Animism) in mid-air. The left frame houses a dense, deeply carbonized black mass that reveals a vibrant red interior coated with traditional iwa-enogu (mineral pigments). In stark contrast, the right frame holds a delicate, intricate skeletal structure finished in the serene white of gofun (crushed seashell pigment). Within this calculated grid, fundamental cosmic dualities—light and dark, condensation and expansion—resonate as a single body, creating a profound spatial tension that is both static and infinitely expansive.
